Renowned for their deeply evocative lyrical writing and soulful, powerful voice. Luna Windust has been referred to as "tremendously talented" by industry greats such as Producer and Artist Cory Cullinan.
With roots deeply embedded in the vibrant tapestry of California's musical landscape, Luna is quickly emerging in the indie scene as a tremendous creative force, celebrating the complexity and depth of the human experience and the Power of Love.
Grandchild of Director Charles Haid and Penelope Windust, and Child of Writer/Director Arcadia Conrad, Luna grew up in an environment uniquely primed for creativity. Between spending hours with a highschool theatre as a playground and attending art events in San Francisco, it was impossible that Luna wouldn't end up somewhere in the Arts.
Throughout their childhood Luna studied dance, art, fashion design and singing, but took a special interest in vocal study, competing at competitions, studying at California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA), and later attending Pasadena City College for Classical Voice.
It was a pivotal concert by their late Great Uncle Tony Conrad and the gift of an 8 track cassette recorder that led Luna into their first foray into music production, compounded by Ukulele found in a dumpster by the artist and promptly turned into an every day essential.
Luna studied dance, art, fashion design and singing, but took a special interest in vocal study, competing at competitions, studying at California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA), and later attending Pasadena City College for Classical Voice, study cut short by the 2020 Pandemic.
It was this crisis that moved Luna to start self-producing music, using the creation and release of songs as an experimental documentation of their growth with music production.
In recent years Luna has continued to take on a variety of projects. Most recently Luna released a new single, Both (Stanford Session) , but has also been busy on the performance front, singing arias, classical duets, choir pieces, and even fronting the Staff Auction Band at Willowbrook Arts Camp in Tualatin, OR in 2023. This summer, they've returned to the Stanford campus after a year hiatus from the Recording Arts Workshop at CCRMA, where they served as a vocalist for a variety of projects on the class album, including a new recording of The Temple of You (In Your Eyes) which released in October of 2024.
Luna is tremendously excited to continue the adventure and would love to have you along! To keep up with the newest in Luna Windust news, be sure to follow them @literallytheentiremoon on all Platforms and sign up for the Luna's Mailing List.
